by Carlin Group - Cosmopolitan lifestyle - Women's impulse SS17 Trends
As a preview Carlin presents an extract of the WOMEN’S DIGITAL IMPULSE for spring summer 17.

A new digital edition with a lifestyle approach that illustrates the feminine universe under aspirational and inspirational influences and enriched by sociological and cultural decoding.

From the four influences, developed throughout the edition, we made the choice to highlight our theme COSMOPOLITE for fashion Mag:

A new more subtle and esthetic expression of the ethnic, both chic and sober for a new contemporary elegance.

One of the key-aspects, other than the color, the beauty, the textures, is its style statement: because through this influence we underline a new androgynous allure, a slender, long-line silhouette, shaking up the formal tailoring codes.

The new layering offers new looks, new ways to combine the coat, the dress, and the tunic with the flared or fitted pants.

Carlin Group: The peppy greens & the corals - Color Trends - SS 2017
At a preview showing, the Carlin Group will present 2 color key points for summer 17

After seasons of contrasts and graphic color expressions, summer 17 will tone down and think itself up in half tones. Color harmonies will get subtle and soft.

First color key point: the peppy greens!
The shades of yellow started off in summer 14, will leave room for greens! From sprouty green to « lucerne » green, they renew the casual spirit for all industries.
Second color key point: the corals
At the Summer 17 horizon, we can see the oranges evolve towards delicate corals, emotional and sensorial. To be imagined in refined harmonies.

LIFE STYLE

For the spring-summer season 2017, Carlin Creative Trend Bureau associated with the school of fashion Instituto Marangoni of Paris for a creative collaboration through a shirt style-exercise.

From theme selection, following the Carlin Trends (Must have SS 2017 digital edition), to product realization, the students of the Master Fashion Design Womenswear have worked in a team for their concept development in 4 steps.

Watching the video you will discover the behind the scenes of this creative partnership, that generated 6 premium and mass-market oriented products.

Carlin Group - "The womenswear must haves" - SS 2017
At the occasion of it’s digital offer launch of Womenswear Summer 17, Carlin presents a focus on the indispensables skirts and dresses of the season.

On this summery wish list, it’s the long asymmetrical nightdress that plays its cards right, in different versions: minimal with colorful touches more graphic in bayaderes stripes, or sensual in fluid satin.

Another must have, the underskirt that makes a big comeback on the silhouettes in an easy bucolic spirit on crepe cottons with shirting stripes, or in a floral spirit with herbarium style prints.

Two products that announce an ultra feminine summer, with silhouettes that play fluidity, on new lengths and looks that balance between daily pragmatism and urban seduction.

This new « must-have » offer is there to complete the first « impulse » module and it’s analysis of emerging trends: a decoding of the 6 key product categories, that illustrates around 30 creations, proposed in numerous variations and 60 accessorized product associations to not miss any of the highlights of summer 17…

Carlin Group: The Layering: A pure designer concept or a new way to dress? Womenswear Trend- SS2017
In the kingdom of designers the layering is king… A principle that in other words means the art  to put on top of another : skirts on dresses, a dress on a pants , a skirt on a pants, or again a dress on a sweater...

The last fashion-week clearly high-lightened these new ways of dressing that redefine the tailoring codes, such as DKNY who revisited the men’s jacket into a maxi dress, worn on top of another dress!

                                                            Catwalk shows ss16 DKNY

The big principles like upside-down are not outdone: Emilio Pucci proposed a fluid dress on top of a transparent sweater and Sarah Wauchob a tulle dress on top of a pants for a new sexy day-time style… In theory.

Because between the creativity of the catwalks and reality, can this trend survive from the daily hardships?

No doubt the answer to this question can be found in the very popular Garance Doré who gives a regular demonstration of this all, playing with brio on mini and maxi length mixes and showing us a more reasonable vision of this way of dressing.

We also like Hellessy suggestion, that plays the game of asymmetry and lightens the silhouette for an new monochrome total look.

A trend we can find back in the proposals of Carlin for summer 17, where the new associations and different lengths can be seen in layering for twisted AND wearable city looks!

THE OVERALL DRESS

An alternative to the slip dress with wider straps, it outlines a long-line and graphic silhouette. To wear layered over a T-shirt or sensuously next to the skin. Midi is the favored length.

PeclersParis – Sexy fluidity – Trend Knit & Cut and Sew SS 2017
Sarong skirts, high split dresses, sexy necklines... Jerseys are nonchalantly draped, play with asymmetry, and elegantly reveal the skin for sensuality in motion.
A long and narrow, elegant silhouette with high split dresses and skirts showing the skin: plunging necklines and bare shoulders.

“Halston” dresses : fluidity and sexy accents with these long split jersey dresses that channel seventies New York, light draping, pleating and a range of straps and necklines.

PeclersParis - "Unusual urbanity" - woman's wear - SS2017
An impulsive approach and elegant games of scales. A hyper-active, city woman reproportions classic pieces by exaggerating standards pieces for maximal comfort.

Amplified movements for an elongated body. Gilda Ambrosio strides through the city and leaves her mark, captured by Tommy Ton in Paris, 2015

Oversized suit

A coordinated suit mood creates a silhouette that seems to melt in a single color or motif. It’s all in the proportions and the supple, wide shapes.

Fluid, coordinated jogging outfit: bomber jacket with silver zipper details and ultra-straight pants. Super-long sleeves and legs accentuate the suppleness.

Two-piece suit in glen plaid flannel: oversized man’s jacket like a cropped coat with wide shoulders over straight, long-lined pants worn with stilettos for a sexy elegance.

Rustic Blouses

Inspired by milkmaid looks, we’re imagining bucolic blouses and shirt-dresses in delicate cotton, embroidered or printed with contrasting flowers. In cotton or linen, playing around with visible and rustic armor or playing down the romantic look with straighter cuts and workwear detailing

TrendZoom: CATWALK Trend Direction Resort 2017
Resort is increasingly an experimental platform for designers to test new ideas for the main season. For this reason the collections are less about single concepts and more about taking a few risks. In this report the Trendzoom team cuts through the mass of information, and sometimes misdirection, and zooms into the trends that will impact future fashion. Each of the overarching themes contains the subtle microtrends that keep styles fresh – everything from the latest positioning of cutouts on a dress to the new button placement for trousers. The analysis outlines the concept behind each trend, and in-depth research presents the key styles that are edgy not alienating, and accessible yet out of the ordinary.

Sample pages taken from 78-page report published on 31.07.2015
